this is a dealer of many sexist, crooked, and abusive men. women can't continue working there and they leave. the vw service men here make fun of female customers and they are sickening to death. i was sold a lemon and then laughed at. i called vw and placed complaints but nothing they have done. a complete different treatment than what i was used to in toyota. their customer serivce often made up for the dealer's sexism and crookedness.

Write the owner of the dealership a letter outlining your experience.

Congressional VW of Rockville is the worst! Dealing with their service dept. is by far the most frustrating experience I have ever had in my entire life. They are totally incompetent and arrogant. I (as well as 6 other people I know) have each had the worst service experiences of our lives there. In fact, I don't know of anyone that has had a positive experience there. They are *consistently* horrible! I can not believe that they stay in business. And, I can not believe that they still have AAA-rated status! The only way they are going improve is if people start writing about their experiences. Send letters to the dealership and to AAA. That's what I did. And it worked, AAA totally freaked out on them as a result. Make sure to send your letter to AAA Attn: Lee Gilpin. He is the man, and will totally work with you. Even so, I'll never, ever again give any business to Congressional VW of Rockville. And, I will strongly discourage anyone else from doing the same. It is just not worth the heartache.

Power of the pen!
Glenn

We went down to look at a new Beetle covertible, and the salesman could not have cared less about assisting us. They had an orange one with a black top in the showroom. I pointed out to him that the VW emblem on the rear lid had been pushed in and damaged - he said if we wanted that car, we'd have to take care of fixing that ourselves. We asked about some other color combinations and gave him our number - we were ready to buy that day - he never called back. Service-wise, I'd give 5 out of 10 - we usually get our Cabrio repaired correctly and ontime; however, ontime is usually a lot longer than I am happy waiting for.

I'm so glad King has opened a VW dealership in Gaithersburg, MD. Congressional VW is a horrible dealership. Very Poor customer service!

If you definitely want to have the best VW repair/maintenance service, make your appt at Martens VW in Bethesda, MD. Sure it may be a little drive for your guys, but at least you will get respectable customer service and techs that know what they are doing.

You'll definitely want to avoid any other VW service dept in the metro area, unless if you have time and money to throw away.

hello group,

i had sort of same experience with Congressional -VW, rockville. Was at dealer for 2 hrs talking about golf and once we finally agreed on a price, and when i was about to make the payment, the manager comes in and says, " you know what this car is already sold, and if u r interested you can deposit the money and if the other fellow doesn't take the car then we will give you a call". if they didn't have any intension of selling the car, didn't understand why the heck did they waste my time. Horrible dealer.

Neways right now i am having other problem. I bought Brand new Golf with VW-Springfield, VA. Had engine problems within the 10 miles i drove from the dealership. Out of 18 days since i bought the car, 15 days the car was in service (its still with the dealer). they already had to replace engine components twice. In the first 10 ten days, i had to visit the dealership 5 times. Buying this car has become a nightmare. I sent a complaint to VW-headquarters and to dealership to give me a replacement or full refund on my purchase. so far none has responded. at the point i am so frustrated and stressed out that i don't want to even accept a replacement. so i am asking for refund. No response till now. SO i am planning to start a email campaign against Volkswagen with your support. If interested in supporting me on this issue please send me your comments and ideas of how we can do this better. Your support is appreciated. I THINK OUR VOICES COULD BE HEARD IF WE STAND TOGETHER.
